Living a vegan lifestyle is an ethical choice. Vegans believe that animals are sentient creatures, and should not be exploited for the sake of humans. Their goal is to live life without contributing to the exploitation of any animals. This is not as easy as just avoiding meats, dairy, and eggs. Many foods that you would not expect to contain animal products actually do have animal products listed in their ingredients. Veganism is becoming increasingly popular. This has led to a wider variety of vegan items to choose from. You can even get vegan milk chocolate that is made using rice milk instead of cow’s milk. Here is a list of everyday food items and snack foods that are certified as being vegan, although being vegan doesn’t necessarily mean they are health foods!

Ritz

Original Ritz Crackers are advertised as having a rich buttery flavor. However, they are made with no dairy or animal products. They are tasty by themselves, or with a vegan spread on them.

Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos

A lot of the better-known flavors of Doritos are made with dairy products. However, the Spicy Sweet Chili flavor is completely vegan. These are pretty good when you are looking for a quick snack.

Unfrosted Pop Tarts

Frosted Pop Tarts are made with some dairy products, and sometimes gelatin. Many of the unfrosted Pop Tarts though, are not made with any animal products and are completely vegan.

SuperPretzel

You might think they would have eggs or dairy in them, but SuperPretzel Baked Soft Pretzels are not made with any animal products. They may be packed with carbs, but they are in fact completely vegan.

Fritos

Fritos original flavor corn chips are made with surprisingly few ingredients. Their entire ingredient list actually consists of just whole corn, corn oil, and salt. Another tasty snack that fits right in to a vegan diet.

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

Although Pillsbury Crescent Rolls taste light and buttery, they are actually vegan. They aren’t made with any animal products, including butter. They get their flakiness and buttery flavor from vegetable oil.

Bacos

Bacos Bacon Flavor Bits are not actually made with any meat at all. They are made with soy products and spices. They can be used to add flavor to many dishes, such as salads, mashed potatoes, or any number of things.

Oreo Cookies

You might be surprised to find that Oreos are totally vegan. Even the cream filling is made without any animal products. You could even try dunking them in some almond milk.
