How to Choose the Right Gasoline Transfer Tank With Pump

When choosing a gasoline transfer tank with pump, there are a few details you need to pay close attention to. Here are some of the main factors to consider as you compare options.

Review the Capacity and Size

The first considerations include the overall capacity and size of the transfer tank. You need to ensure that it can hold the volume of fuel that you intend to transfer. It should also fit the available space in your storage area or vehicle.

Pay Attention to Material and Construction

The material should be suited to the environment. Common materials for gasoline transfer tanks include aluminum, steel, and polyethylene.

Choose the Right Type of Pump

Depending on your needs, you may prefer a hand pump, electric pump, or fuel-powered pump. Electric pumps tend to provide the greatest convenience. You should also consider the flow rate, pressure, and compatible power sources.

Compare Safety Features

Safety is an essential consideration when looking for a gasoline transfer tank with pump. Pressure relief valves, leak-proof seals, and other features can help ensure the safety of the operator when transferring gasoline.

Accessories and Mounting Options

Some of the final considerations for a gasoline transfer tank include mounting options and available accessories. You may want to mount the tank or shop for a portable option. Available accessories may include hoses, nozzles, meters, and other necessary parts.

Along with these tips, you can rely on a local supplier of remanufactured petroleum equipment to help select a gasoline transfer tank with pump that meets your needs.
