Some Top Trends in Trade Show Display Booths and Marketing Strategies

How do you ensure you’re in a great position for success in upcoming trade shows? It’s wise to keep your finger on the pulse of the trade show circuit. Watching for emerging trends can help you capitalize on what’s working well for some and can help you avoid appearing outdated and archaic when compared to your competition.

Here are some of the latest trends in trade show display booths and trade show strategies:

Trade Show Display Booths: Trends

• Make your trade show display booth interactive. Displays, iPads with company apps and online presentations could be much more effective than handing out a brochure that will go into someone’s backpack and get forgotten.
• There’s also a trend in giving away a promotional item. This creates an engagement opportunity and can not only drive interest at the event but can also help you be more memorable to the attendee later on when they use the item you gave them.
• Larger brands and those who sponsor events tend to have larger and more impressive display booths at trade shows.
• More trade show booths than ever have extra features like technology and lighting. Gone are the days where most booths consist of a table and a literature rack filled with brochures.
• Lounge areas. Where there’s space, giving people a place to sit and talk to you could keep them there longer.

Trade Show Strategies: Trends

• Social media! Integrating social media into trade shows is important. Why? Because attendees are often using their smartphone and they can use it to share information as well as help you gather information. Tweet leveraging the hashtag, encourage check-ins. Update your social media accounts with photos of your trade show display booths and so forth. This could help you engage people at the event who may follow your social media accounts and a social media follow is something that can be as good as an opt-in.
• Video. Add video to your trade show display booth and take video to use your participation in upcoming promotional spots. Adding presentations to your YouTube channel could be helpful, for instance.

By keeping up with the trends of trade shows you can ensure that not only will your trade show display booth be competitive and present your brand well but you’ll also be armed with ideas to make the most out of the event through marketing, engagement, and follow-up on leads.
